Chat data & privacy
Short version: Amy chats are stored so the conversation survives a page refresh and so we can improve her answers. We store the messages, an anonymous session ID, your chosen language and a timestamp. We do not ask for or need your name, email, phone number or any medical record to chat, and chat messages are never sold or sent to lead buyers.
What we collect on /chat
The messages you type and Amy's replies.
A randomly generated session ID stored in your browser — it is not linked to your identity and you can clear it at any time.
The interface language you are using and the time of each message.
Optional feedback: a thumbs up/down, or a reported issue plus the reason you type.
What we do not collect
No account is required, we do not use chat to build an advertising profile, and we do not request Social Security numbers, bank details, policy numbers or medical records. Please do not type sensitive personal or health details into the chat — Amy does not need them to explain how coverage works.
How it is handled
Messages are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply and stored in our database with row-level security so only our internal review tooling can read them. Aggregated, de-identified counts (top questions, thumbs up/down rates) are used to improve answer quality. Chat data is retained for up to 12 months and then deleted.
Your choices
Use the reset control in the chat panel to start a fresh session and clear the session ID from your browser. To request deletion of a stored conversation, contact us using the details in the main privacy policy, which also covers the quote form, analytics and cookie consent.
